Getting to Chamonix from Geneva 

• About €10-45 each way. Book your shuttle ahead because they can be full. If you do book ahead, make your booking flexible in case your flight is delayed. The shuttle takes about an hour and a half between the Geneva Airport and Chamonix.

• Alpy Transfers They have booth in the Geneva airport. Look right when you exit baggage claim. Their booth is to the left of the huge Montreaux Jazz Cafe sign.

Staying in Chamonix

• Le Chamoniard Volant: perhaps the cheapest in town.

• Pointe Isabelle: central Chamonix, can be a bit noisy.

• Le Faucigny: Joe’s recommendation, central Chamonix.

Eating in Chamonix

• Cham Sud for burgers and beer at the South Bar or Bighorn. Happy hour at Beckett and Wilde.

• Near the train station for food and beer at Elevation, Chambre Neuf or Moos.

• Annapurna: Indian

• Elevation: salads, beer, coffee, people watching.

• Midnight Express: fast and cheap sandwiches.

• Casa Valerio: pizza, Italian food and attitude.
